Today is the 25th anniversary of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. To coincide with the anniversary it has just been announced that the Mirage Group, which owns the property, is moving forward with a live action film focusing on the origins of the heroes in a half-shell.
TMNT creator Peter Laird said the film will remain true to the spirit of the original comic books and added that the film may employ face replacement technology, which would allow the turtles to be much more expressive.
