The High-Tech Making of The Dark Knight in IMAX
* To create The Dark Knight in IMAX format, director Christopher Nolan used special IMAX cameras that use 70mm film which, unlike 35mm cameras, are very heavy. — Popular Mechanics
Johnny Depp is the Riddler in ‘Dark Knight’ Sequel?
Rumors of course are flying about what will transpire in the next Batman film. Check this one out from Hollyscoop.com
Johnny Depp is reportedly going to be a part of the next Batman installment playing the Riddler. And not only that, but execs want Philip Seymour Hoffman to play the Penguin.
I doubt the truth in the penguin rumor, because I distinctly remember Christopher Nolan saying that he was against the idea of using the Penguin in his Batman films, because of the character being too ‘far fetched’, but you never know. Depp as the Riddler on the other hand seems a more likely possibility, a good counterpart to Christian Bale’s Batman. But a bad guy as good as Heath Ledger’s Joker is going to be hard to match even for Johnny Depp. It’s far too early to tell right now, but there is obviously going to be a sequel. The Dark Knight has already made $462.2 million worldwide!
Blinkx Offers Easy Access To Online TV
It's designed to collate the range of content available from various sites into one handy interface, allowing you to search for your favourite show or browse listings in alphabetical order.
Continued...
There's a total of 26 million hours of audio and video indexed through the site, though the majority simply redirects you to the relevant services, for example BBC's iPlayer or 4 On Demand.
At the moment it's just a beta edition but is up and running for you to give it a try. Bear in mind that as it's under development there will be improvements over the coming months, as well as an increase in the range of shows it covers.
Despite simply offering shortcuts to most content we like the way it allows you to browse a range of services and think portals like Blinkx will do pretty well over the coming year. - Paul Lester

TiVo on Thursday announced that its Series3 and TiVo HD DVRs will soon support YouTube content, allowing users to browse and view videos on the Google-owned service. In the future, TiVo hopes to introduce a login interface, which would let users access their YouTube accounts, videos, channels, and playlists. Tivo expects to have the update delivered over “the next few weeks” for the aforementioned players.
“YouTube brings video where the audience is - across the Web and onto mobile devices, TVs and video games,” said Hunter Walk, YouTube’s director of product management. “The partnership with TiVo extends our ability to make YouTube accessible anywhere and lets people watch what they want, when they want it.”
The upgrade gives the TiVo one of the few direct YouTube interfaces in a set top media box, with the most prominent alternative being Apple TV.
